mizuki yamamoto - ds., Compose
Born in Okayama in 2002. He started playing drums at the age of nine. In 2013, he joined the Okayama Junior Jazz Orchestra and began performing mainly in jazz settings. In 2015, he made his first appearance at the Okayama Nextage Jazz Contest and went on to receive the Excellence Award for three consecutive years. In 2019, he was selected as support drummer for the club jazz band AIter Ego, expanding his activities through performances at events in and outside Okayama. In 2021, he moved to Tokyo for university and began performing in the greater Tokyo area. In 2022, he launched ROOTs, a leader project performing his original compositions, selling out shows across Japan and broadening his work beyond genre boundaries.
